OUR SERVICES

Let’s climb the peak together.

We created P.E.A.K as a place for children and their parents/caregivers to receive the support and interventions needed to help with picky eating. Eating is a fundamental part of your child’s physical and mental growth, yet mealtimes can become battlegrounds with no end in sight.

Our goal is to determine the underlying cause of a child’s picky eating and to support them and their families on their feeding journey to develop this lifelong skill.

  • Feeding Evaluation

This is the first step in determining feeding therapy for your child. We use a multidisciplinary approach with an Occupational Therapist (OT) and Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to complete the assessment. This gives you the benefit of having two professional perspectives, instead of one in traditional feeding therapy.

    The initial evaluation includes:

    • OT/Speech Team Evaluation

    • Written Evaluation Report, Treatment Plan, Therapy Objectives, and Home Programming Strategies

  • Initial Parent Consultation (45 Minutes)

This consult is for parents/caregivers who are experiencing difficulties at home with their picky eater and looking for tools to implement. A feeding therapist will answer your questions and provide home strategies regarding mealtime structure, routine, environment, parent/child interaction, and suggestions surrounding behavior/rigidity. It includes therapist review of your online new client form and background history, education of mealtime strategies, home recommendations, and answers to any questions that you have.

  • Individual Feeding Therapy

Each child will work 1:1 with a feeding therapist on their treatment objectives. Sessions will take place in a shared treatment space with an OT/SLP present. Parents may participate during portions of the session for home carryover and parent education.

  • Group Feeding Therapy

Group Feeding Therapy is for children who can benefit from a social setting during mealtime. With both an OT and SLP present, children will work on their individual therapy objectives while also participating in group dynamics including meal set-up, food preparation, and social skills during mealtime.

  • Follow-Up Parent Consultation (30 Minutes)

After the initial parent consultation, follow-up consultations can be booked with one of our feeding therapists to check in on what is working at home, and to provide further recommendations on mealtime strategies for your picky eater.

  • Not sure where to start?
